I remember when I first heard Nick Drake. (Note: if you are reading this blog and have never heard or heard of Nick Drake, stop reading and please go get yourself a song or, better yet, a full album of his.) I immediately fell and love and tried to get my hands on everything and anything that he had ever done. Nick Drake died in '74 like many great artists before him: overdose. Luckily, artists like Alexi Murdoch have emerged to give Nick Drake fans such as myself something to keep our strummer souls satisfied. Try my personal favourite, "Orange Sky" (which oddly never made it on to the "Garden State Soundtrack") from his album "Time Without Consequence." There are slightly different versions of this song: choose wisely. The version on MySpace is not my favourite.
