KT Tunstall. She’s not blow-your-hair-back amazing; she’s not terrible, especially if you throw on “Big Black Horse & the Cherry Tree” (which, like her or not, is bound to get your hips a’movin’!) Her album “Eye to the Telescope” features 12 fairly similar tracks, some of which give a slight elbow nudge to the blues. She’s the girl you hear at your local coffee shop – your ears perk up, but eventually you are able to continue on with the conversation. The redeeming quality is her voice – it’s edgier and sultrier than a mere pop princess'.

Try tracks “Big Black Horse & the Cherry Tree,” "Throw Me a Rope," & “Heal Over.” If nothing sparks for you with those tunes,
